We’d like to introduce you to two recent additions to the Fitzgerald Brothers Beverages family: Brad Stevens, Bulk Account Merchandiser, and Anthony Wilson, Delivery Department Manager. Here are five quick questions and answers for each:
Brad Stevens
1) What’s your professional background and what drew you to FBB?
I have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from SUNY Plattsburgh, where I graduated in 2010. I worked at Stewart’s Shops shortly after graduation and stayed with them for eight-and-a-half years. I then spent two-and-a-half years in social services to make use of my degree, but ultimately I missed the fast pace of retail.
Working with Stewart’s had me interacting with FBB on the conventional side, and I saw the higher attention to detail they have compared to other vendors. They seemed like a good fit after our previous interactions, and I was looking for a smaller, local company to work with.
2) What would you be doing career-wise if you weren’t at FBB?
I’d do something along the lines of a secret shopper but for all-inclusives – getting paid to critique resorts and enjoy some ocean views.
3) Name three of your favorite places to go or things to do in the local area.
- Crandall Park is my family’s go-to place. The completion of the 18-hole disc golf course recently has been a great addition.
- Summertime finds us at Haviland Cove to be on the water.
- For restaurants, my son always wants Texas Roadhouse or O’Toole’s.
4) What’s a goal, professional or personal, that you’d like to accomplish for yourself over the next year?
Before next year is over I would like to finally win the battle with my wife to add kayaking to our free time. I have always enjoyed the water and would like to capitalize on the location, as there are so many great areas in close proximity.
5) What’s your favorite FBB product?
It would have to be Bang Energy – it’s a tossup between the Radical Skidaddle or Rainbow Unicorn.
Anthony Wilson
1) What’s your professional background and what drew you to FBB?
I graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. I started out with Pepsi Beverages Company in Rochester in March of 2011 as a Bulk Merchandiser. Throughout my six years there I was a Large & Small Format Sales Rep, Lead Delivery Supervisor, and Large Format Sales DM.
In 2017, I relocated to Hartford, CT for a Geography Sales DM and most recently I moved back to the area in January of 2020 and was a Small Format Sales DM in Latham. I was interested in FBB because of their reputation of being an amazing company to work for. The customer service provided is above and beyond the industry standard, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the community that I grew up in.
2) What would you be doing career-wise if you weren’t at FBB?
If I hadn’t made the move to FBB I’d probably have continued my career at PBC as a Sales DM. My dream job would be a professional sports coach or player (hockey or golf).
3) Name three of your favorite places to go or things to do in the local area.
- I like to ride my motorcycle through the Adirondacks.
- My wife and I enjoy trying out all the family-owned local restaurants.
- I enjoy a hockey game or entertainment event at the Cool Insuring Arena.
4) What’s a goal, professional or personal, that you’d like to accomplish for yourself over the next year?
Professionally, since I’m new at FBB, I hope to gain valuable insights and experiences from the great employees that work here who will help me in the future. Personally, now that I am back in my hometown, I am hoping to reconnect with some old friends and also get involved in the community.
5) What’s your favorite FBB product?
Gatorade Zero Cool Blue.
We extend a warm welcome to our new community-minded, family-oriented team members, Brad and Anthony!
